Ukraine climbs 18 places, ranks 47th in Digital Quality of Life Index 2021

The global digital wellbeing study - Digital Quality of Life Index 2021 - shows that Ukraine has climbed 18 places since last year and ranked 47th among 110 countries.

 

Covering 90% of the global population, the DQL study is conducted by the cybersecurity company Surfshark and evaluates countries based on a set of five fundamental digital wellbeing pillars. 

 

Ukraine shows highest scores in internet affordability (28th) and e-security (25th), but displays comparatively lower results in e-government (ranks 61st), e-infrastructure (42nd) and internet quality (68th).

 

Overall, Ukraine has demonstrated one of the most significant improvements compared to the DQL 2020, rising from 65th to 47th place. 

 

The study found that Ukraine's internet has become more affordable since last year. 

 

Its internet affordability index improved by 66%, and the country now ranks 28th worldwide in this pillar. It lags behind Lithuania but surpasses Poland.
