Odessa hospital ran out of oxygen, patients were urgently evacuated

On Tuesday evening, Odessa ran out of oxygen for coronavirus patients at the regional center for socially significant diseases on Nikolay Mikhnovsky Street. Forty-three patients had to be evacuated in an emergency. Among the evacuated were "severe" patients - 13 people. This was reported by the head of the intensive care unit at the hospital, Ekaterina Latoshchenko, writes UNN.

The hospital says the rapid consumption of oxygen was due to the large number of patients.

The evacuation was carried out by several ambulance crews.

To ensure the operation of the oxygen station, Odessa power grids provided a powerful electric generator.

It should be noted that as of the morning of October 27, 1,477 new cases of coronavirus were officially registered in the Odessa region, 21 patients died.
