Draft state budget-2022 adopted by parliament in the first reading

The Parliament of Ukraine has adopted in first reading the draft law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022".

This decision at Tuesday's plenary session was supported by 273 people's deputies with the required 226 votes.

It should be noted that on October 20, the Verkhovna Rada began to consider the draft state budget for 2022 and adopted it as a basis, after which the parliament began to discuss individual amendments by people's deputies.

Revenues of the next year's budget in the government bill submitted to the Verkhovna Rada are set at UAH 1.277 trillion. This figure is UAH 161 billion higher than the planned figures of the state budget 2021.
It is proposed to set expenditures at UAH 1.465 trillion (UAH 103 billion more than planned for the state budget-2021). It is proposed to set the state budget deficit at 3.5% of GDP compared to 5.5% in the state budget-2021.

The draft state budget-2022, as stated in the Budget Declaration, is based on the forecast of growth of nominal GDP to UAH 5.368 trillion, real GDP growth by 3.8%, the hryvnia-dollar exchange rate corridor at the end of the year - 28.6-28.7 UAH/dollar.
