Electricity imports in November almost twice exceeded exports - Ukrenergo

Imports of electricity in November 2021 exceeded exports 1.8 times. The last time imports surpassed exports was in February 2021. This is reported by the press service of the NEC "Ukrenergo", writes UNN.

 

"Electricity imports in November 2021 amounted to 1.8% of total consumption. Total electricity imports in November 2021 amounted to 242.2 million kWh, which is 1.8 times more than exports (131.2 million kWh). The last time imports exceeded exports in February 2021," said the company.

 

The NEC informs that after 11 months of 2021 the volume of electricity exports was 2.5 times higher than imports - 3,157 million kWh against 1,257 million kWh.

 

According to the data published on the company's website, Ukraine has significantly reduced the level of imports from Belarus. Today it amounts to 60 MWh.

 

As the UNN wrote, Belarus resumed electricity supplies to Ukraine on November 21.

 

Electricity imports to Ukraine from Belarus, after the NKREKU refusal to extend the ban on November 1, resumed on November 6 with 5 MW per hour, on November 7 - 15 MW for 4 hours, November 8 - 400 MW per hour. Starting from November 9, 415 MW of electric power have been supplied from Belarus every hour. The main supplier of electric power was Vitaliy Butenko's company TET Group.
