Russia Refuses to Withdraw Troops from Ukraine's Borders: Full Statement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow does not intend to discuss with NATO or the United States the movement of troops on Russian territory. And demands to "return them to their barracks" will not be considered. This was reported by RBC.

According to him, these demands from Washington are unacceptable.

"It already sounds not only about the withdrawal of military units from the border with Ukraine, as they put it, but about the fact that these troops went to the barracks, Sherman said exactly that, including publicly at a press conference. I do not think there is a need to explain the absolute unacceptability of such demands and of course we will not even discuss them," Lavrov said.

Earlier, the Kremlin said that NATO could not dictate to Russia how and where it should move its military units.
