Today, February 17, the leaders of the European Union will hold an informal meeting because of the situation with the threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was announced Wednesday, February 16, by Barend Leites, spokesman for the President of the European Council.
"Before tomorrow's EU-Africa summit, there will be an hour-long informal meeting of European Council members at 12:30 p.m. regarding the status of recent developments related to Russia and Ukraine," Leites wrote on Twitter.
Recall, the US Presidential Administration reported that Russia has increased its military presence on the border with Ukraine by 7,000 people.
