Support for Ukraine after Russia's provocative decisions: what Zelensky talked to Erdogan about

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported by the head of state in his Twitter.

"Expressed gratitude for the support of Ukraine's position on the latest provocative decisions of Russia. Also thanked for the support of the initiative to hold a summit of permanent member states of the UN Security Council with the participation of Ukraine, Turkey and Germany," - said in the message.

Recall that Turkey condemned Russia's actions because of its recognition of the so-called "independence" of the "L/DPR" and called for respect for international law.

"We consider this decision of Russia unacceptable and reject it. On this occasion, we emphasize our commitment to preserve the political unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and call on all parties to use common sense and respect for international law," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
