Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the humanitarian staff in the Kyiv region, said that the occupiers had destroyed Borodyanka and killed hundreds of local residents.
He also showed what Borodyanka looked like after the Russian troops.
"The settlement has turned into ruins - houses and infrastructure have been destroyed, there are burnt cars in the streets. But the worst thing is hundreds of dead civilians, hundreds of wounded. The Russian occupiers have carried out a genocide of Ukrainians. There is no other word for it," he said.
According to Kuleba, rescuers and law enforcement officers are working in the settlement.
The settlement is being cleared and cleared of mines.
