About 400 people are missing in Gostomel - the head of the village administration

In Gostomel, more than 400 people have been reported missing for 35 days of the occupation. This was reported by the head of the Gostomel village military administration Taras Dumenko in an interview to Hromadske radio.

"For 35 days of occupation we have more than 400 people missing. We are now examining the basements of Gostomel together with the State Emergencies Service and patrol police officers. We have about 1200 residents, communication with whom is confirmed and who inform us about the whereabouts of those or other people who left," - said Dumenko.

He recalled that in Gostomel Russian troops killed the head of the village Yuriy Prilipko, volunteers Ruslan Karpenko and Ivan Zorya, whose bodies were found along with him, were also killed.

According to Dumenko, who organized evacuation columns during the occupation, the occupiers were "cleaning up the traces of their atrocities."

"You could move in the direction of Gostomel and along the road there were shot cars with bodies, including children. And you could go back - and those bodies were gone. My hypothesis is that the calmer the occupants felt in some territory, the farther they were from the front line, the more thoroughly they covered their tracks," believes the head of the village military administration.

On April 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the entire Kiev region from the Rascists.

As of April 5, law enforcers have recorded 1,200 war crimes committed by Russian occupants in the Kyiv region.
