Russian Armed Forces in Chernobyl really dug trenches in the Red Forest - video from a drone appeared

A video appeared on social networks, confirming the information that the Russian Armed Forces in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant have indeed set up their positions in the so-called Red Forest.

The video, shot by a drone, shows trenches dug by Russian troops in the area that received the largest share of radioactive dust emissions during the world's most notorious man-made disaster.

Russian troops completely left the Chernobyl zone on March 31.

It is also known that Russian soldiers, who spent about a month in the contaminated territory, were sent to Gomel in Belarus for treatment.

"About seven medical PAZs arrived at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology. According to the photo, people can be seen in the cars. Note that Russian soldiers are brought to this center on a regular basis," said Yaroslav Emelianenko, a member of the Public Council for the Management of the Exclusion Zone.

Minister for the temporarily occupied territories Iryna Vereshchuk said that the Russian soldiers who were in the Chernobyl zone deserve the Darwin Prize.
