Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has called for the creation of an international commission to investigate Russian war crimes after the invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by the Twitter of the Prime Minister's Office.
Morawiecki, in an address to the Sejm, assessed the atrocities of the Russian occupants in the captured settlements. He is sure that the sanction for war crimes was given by the highest military and political leadership of the Russian Federation.
"What we see in Ukraine today are purely Soviet methods. We know these Soviet methods and we are aware of what they threaten. They do not happen by themselves. Not just Russian soldiers are brutal, the consent comes from above," the prime minister said.
The head of the Polish government also called the restoration of peace the main goal of the planet. In addition, the perpetrators of war crimes must be punished.
"Poland calls for the creation of an international commission to investigate Russian crimes in Ukraine. This committee should consist of many experts," Morawiecki added.
