The ruling coalition in Germany has agreed to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine. Earlier, the largest political force, the Social Democratic Party, had been cautious about the possibility of such supplies.
Markus Faber, a Bundestag deputy from the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and a member of the parliamentary group on defense policy, said this on Twitter.
"Dear friends, Germany will now quickly supply heavy equipment to Ukraine. I am glad that we from the FDP and our coalition partners were able to agree on this," he said.
