MP Viktor Medvedchuk, suspected of treason, has asked to exchange him for the Ukrainian military and civilians who are in the blockaded city of Mariupol. He appealed to the presidents of Ukraine and Russia with a corresponding proposal.
This is reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
"I want to ask the presidents of Ukraine and Russia to exchange me for the defenders of Mariupol and its residents who are there today and are unable to exit through humanitarian corridors," Medvedchuk said in a video published by the SSU.
As you know, even before the war started, Medvedchuk was suspected of high treason on several episodes at once. A court sent him under house arrest, from which he escaped after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The other day, law enforcers detained Medvedchuk while trying to flee outside Ukraine.
