The Pentagon will expand training for the Ukrainian military

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during his visit to Ukraine has announced the expansion of training for the Ukrainian military on additional types of weapons. This was stated in a statement by U.S. Department of State spokesman Ned Price, published on the website of the State Department.

"As part of our ongoing assistance, Secretary Austin also informed the government of Ukraine that the U.S. Department of Defense will expand military training for Ukrainian troops in the region on certain weapon systems," Price said.

As noted, Austin emphasized U.S. efforts to accelerate the supply of these weapons.

The Pentagon chief added that together with allies and partners, the United States would continue to coordinate deliveries of additional heavy weapons, ammunition and spare parts from other countries, Price said.
