219 children have already become victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Already 219 children have died in Ukraine because of Russia's armed aggression, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

 

"As of the morning of April 29, 2022, more than 617 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official data, 219 children were killed and more than 398 were injured with varying degrees of severity," the Prosecutor's Office reported.

 

As indicated, the most affected children in the Donetsk region - 139, Kyiv region - 115, Kharkiv - 95, Chernihiv - 68, Kherson - 44, Mykolaiv - 43, Lugansk - 37, Zaporizhzhie - 27, Sumy - 17, in the city of Kyiv - 16, Zhitomyr - 15.

 

These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

Thus, it became known that in the first week of March, a car exploded on a road near the village of Krasnoye, Chernigov district, Chernigov region, killing 2 and 14-year-old children.

 

On March 7, during artillery shelling by the occupants of the Romanov bridge in the city of Irpen, a 10-year-old boy suffered a concussion.

 

On April 28, a 10-year-old girl was wounded as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Tsirkuny in Kharkiv district of Kharkiv region.

 

On April 28, as a result of shelling in the city of Zaporizhzhya, 5 people were wounded, including a child.

 

It also became known that on April 11, a 9-year-old boy was wounded as a result of artillery shelling in the city of Kharkiv.

 

On 21 April, a 17-year-old boy was taken to a medical facility in Dnipropetrovsk Region with wounds sustained as a result of the occupants' shelling of the city of Mariupol.
