The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday, May 3, passed a bill that expands the powers of territorial defense. Now TRO fighters will be able to carry out their assignments in areas where hostilities are taking place. This was announced by an MP from the party "Golos" Yaroslav Zheleznyak in Telegram.

For the adoption of the bill to expand the capabilities of the TRO to perform tasks in the areas of combat operations voted 338 deputies.

It is worth noting that previously TRO fighters performed tasks within the territory of the respective territorial society.

According to the draft law, the performance of tasks of territorial defense is carried out on the entire territory of Ukraine, including areas of military (combat) actions, including occupied territories.
