Crimea as part of Ukraine would be a "direct boorishness" to the territorial integrity of Russia. And a threat to the peninsula as part of the Russian Federation would be a reason to start a full-fledged war with Ukraine. This was stated by the deputy head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in Telegram.
"The full autonomy of Crimea as part of Ukraine is at all direct boorishness to Russia, a threat to its territorial integrity and a reason to start a full-fledged war. There is not and never will be a political force in Russia that would even agree to discuss the fate of Crimea. That would simply be a national betrayal," he said.
