Already 263 children have died as a result of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
"As of the morning of June 7, 2022, more than 730 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 263 children were killed and more than 467 wounded," the report said.
The most affected children, as noted, in the Donetsk region - 190, Kyiv - 116, Kharkiv - 112, Chernihiv - 68, Lugansk - 53, Kherson - 52, Mykolaiv - 47, Zaporizhzhia - 29, Sumy - 17, in the city of Kyiv - 16, Zhitomyr - 15.
These figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
On June 3, two people were killed by a mine explosion on a beach in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. One of the victims was an 8-year-old boy.
Due to the constant bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces, 1,940 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 184 of them were completely destroyed, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
