Ukraine will retaliate to a possible "slap in the face" from Transnistria - Zelensky

Ukraine will respond to attempted strikes from Transnistria, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

"Today we raised the issue of the risks (of a strike from Transnistria). If they are, I believe that this is a global mistake. We receive signals of one kind or another. They are unpleasant. But these people from the temporarily occupied territories of Moldova must know that for us it will not be a blow, but a slap, and we will respond to the slap with a blow," Zelensky said at a briefing with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Kyiv on Monday.

At the same time, the head of state stressed that "everything must be done so that there is no destabilization in the region (Transnistria)."

"We show it in every possible way... All such cases (information about the possibility of strikes from Transnistria) are twisted naturally and done by the Russian Federation," he said.
