The Ukrainian side can end the war before the end of the day. To do this, the Ukrainian authorities must give an order to lay down arms and fulfill the conditions put forward by Russia.

"There is an order to the nationalist units to lay down their weapons, an order to the Ukrainian military to lay down their weapons and it is necessary to fulfill the conditions of the Russian Federation," Peskov said.

He added that the Kremlin does not set a deadline for the so-called "special operation" in Ukraine.

We would like to note that Peskov thus commented on the statement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky who told the G7 leaders that he wanted Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine to end before winter.

We would like to add that Ukrainian intelligence assumes that certain events will take place starting from August, which will demonstrate a turning point in the war against Russia. At the same time, by the end of the year, active hostilities will reduce to almost zero.
