European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell reacted to the missile attack on the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, stressing that the Russian regime will be held responsible for crimes against civilians in Ukraine. He wrote this on his Twitter.
"The Russian missile strike on the Kremenchug mall, where hundreds of people were present, is a reminder that Russia is waging an invasive war against Ukraine and its people. It demonstrates a complete disregard for the lives of civilians, for which the regime will be held accountable," he wrote.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the Russian missile strike on the TC in the city of Kremenchug. He said this at a meeting of G7 leaders in Bavaria, reports The Guardian.
"This terrible attack once again showed the depth of the cruelty and barbarism into which the Russian leader is falling," Johnson stressed.
"Again our thoughts are with the families of the innocent victims of Ukraine. Putin must understand that his behavior will only strengthen the resolve of Britain and any other G7 country to support Ukraine for as long as it takes," he added.
French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on Twitter that "the bombing of the shopping center in Kremenchug by Russia is an absolute horror."
"We share the pain of the families of the victims. And anger at such shame," Macron noted.
At the same time, the French president added: "the Russian people must see the truth."
It should be noted that on June 27, the occupiers launched a missile attack on a shopping center in Kremenchug, where, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, there were more than a thousand civilians.
The Rashists fired two X-22 missiles from long-range Tu-22 M3 bombers from an airfield in the Kursk region. One of them hit the city stadium.
So far more than 20 people are known to have been killed and more than 40 people have been reported missing by their relatives. A total of 25 people were hospitalized and 59 were injured.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrski noted that most of the bodies of the dead people have not yet been identified, as they were badly burned.
More than 60% of the rubble of the destroyed shopping center has been removed. Search and rescue work continues - they dismantle damaged building structures with heavy machinery and small tools.
Law enforcers began a pre-trial investigation into the violation of laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
