Italian Prime Minister ruled out Putin's presence at the G20 summit

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said that the direct participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the summit of the "G20" excluded. He said this after the G7 summit in Germany, writes Ansa.

"As for the presence of President Putin at the G20, the President of Indonesia excludes it, he was categorical, he will not come. Remote participation maybe, we will see," Draghi explained.

The Kremlin has already responded to Draghi's statement, reiterating that Putin received the invitation and responded positively.

"Well, it's not Draghi who determines that. The invitation came, we responded positively," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said, recalling that Putin will hold talks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Moscow on June 30.

Indonesia holds the presidency of the G20 and it is on the territory of this country that the summit in November is planned.
