Poland has completed construction of the fence on the border with Belarus

In Poland, after six months of work, the construction of a 5-meter fence on the border with Belarus has been completed.

This was reported in the Border Guard Service.

"January 25, the construction of the physical barrier at the state border began. Today, the work is being completed. Five months of intensive work and monitoring. 186.25 km and 49 tons of steel. It will be safe," the border guards noted on Twitter.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the head of the Border Guard Service and other officials visited the site in connection with the completion of the work.

As it has been reported, July 1, the government decree banning stay in 183 locations on the border with Belarus, which was introduced during the migration crisis to facilitate the fight against the carriers, helping migrants, will become invalid.

Recall that Lithuania and Poland in the summer and autumn of 2021 suffered from the migration crisis, artificially created by Alexander Lukashenko. Both countries began to build fences on the border with Belarus after these events.

In recent months, attempts to illegally enter Poland from Belarus have ceased to be massive, but continue. Thus, during June 29, border guards found three Africans, citizens of Guinea and Gambia.
