British intelligence named Russia's next targets after the seizure of Lysychansk

Ukrainian forces withdrew from Lysychansk, retreating to prepared defensive positions. The next targets of the Russian army will be towns in Donetsk Region.

This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

As noted in the summary, the Russian military department previously stated that it had completed the encirclement of Lysychansk and established full control over the city. Fighting in and around the city in Luhansk Region has intensified over the past week, and Russian forces are moving steadily forward.

The city was the last remaining major population center in the Luhansk region under Ukrainian control.

"Now Russia's attention will almost certainly shift to the capture of the Donetsk region, much of which remains under the control of Ukrainian forces. The fight for Donbas has been persistent and exhausting, and this is unlikely to change in the coming weeks," the report said.

We will remind, on July 3, it became known that the Ukrainian military left Lysychansk, Luhansk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew from their positions in order to save the lives of their personnel.
