Turkish Foreign Minister on the UN plan for the export of Ukrainian grain: satisfies both sides

The UN grain export plan will meet the needs of Ukraine and Russia. However, in order to export, it is necessary to ensure security in the Black Sea through demining.

This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, reports Haber7

Ankara stressed that they want to resolve the issue with exports in such a way that it meets the interests of both countries.

The minister believes that the plan developed by the UN is "good and objective."

"It (the plan, - ed.) provides for meeting the export needs of both Russia and Ukraine. The implementation of the plan will make it possible to supply Ukraine's grain to the world markets, but it is impossible to create security lines until the area is cleared of mines," Çavuşoğlu said.

As a reminder, Turkey wants to organize negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to export Ukrainian grain.

At the same time, Ankara claims success, but the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed that it has not yet reached an agreement to hold talks to unblock the ports.
