Belarusian troops near the border with Ukraine do not pose a threat. However, Belarus can prepare saboteurs.

This was stated by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Vadim Skibitsky, during a briefing.

"There may only be one threat in this case, that subversive and reconnaissance groups can operate from the territory of Belarus in our northern regions. It's both reconnaissance and possible sabotage," explained Skibitsky.

At the same time, the intelligence representative assured that the Ukrainian military are monitoring the actions on the territory of Belarus in order to be ready for a possible offensive. So far, the creation of enemy offensive groups has not been recorded.

According to Skibitsky, some Russian military equipment, in particular aviation, remains at Belarusian airfields. Therefore, there is a threat of strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

Recall that Belarus continued military exercises near Ukraine's borders until at least July 23.

But Ukrainian defenders continue to strengthen the defense in the north and mine the border areas.
