Israeli Foreign Ministry urges citizens to refrain from visiting Uman on Rosh Hashanah

In connection with military actions in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel calls on Israeli citizens to refrain from visiting Ukraine, including the city of Uman and its environs.

 

"We recommend that Israeli citizens in Ukraine immediately leave the country. In Ukraine, the danger of rocket and air attacks on populated areas and civilian objects, including in the center and west of the country, remains. We are talking about a real threat to life," the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the eve of Rosh Hashanah celebrations in Uman.

 

The ministry recalled that the Ukrainian government declared a state of emergency in the country on February 24, 2022, freedom of movement of citizens has been limited, intensified patrolling of the territory is conducted and a curfew is introduced.

 

It is also stressed that employees of the Israeli embassy are not in Ukraine on a permanent basis, and they will not be able to provide consular assistance if necessary.
