Rada upheld the law on the special status of Poles in Ukraine

On Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada supported the draft law № 7550 on the establishment of legal and social guarantees for Polish citizens staying on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

 

For the document voted 283 people's deputies. Now it must be signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the President for entry into force.

 

According to the bill, citizens of Poland will be able to stay on the territory of Ukraine for 18 months after the adoption of the law and enjoy all the rights and freedoms as citizens of Ukraine:

 

employment rights without a special permit for the use of foreign labor;

 

state registration as taxpayers and receiving a registration number of a taxpayer's record card;

 

conduct of business activities;

 

receiving education, social benefits, medical care on the conditions of citizens of Ukraine.
