The Verkhovna Rada granted deferment of call-up for military service during mobilization to scientific, scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical workers, and also expanded the list of persons not subject to conscription during mobilization. This was reported in his Telegram people's deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko.

 

"The Rada adopted a deferment from conscription during mobilization to scientific, scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical workers," - said Goncharenko.

 

The deputy also said that the Rada voted to grant maternity leave not only to women, but also to men, in case both are servicemen. The norm will apply on equal terms in peacetime and in a special period or martial law.

 

In addition, the Rada expanded the list of persons not subject to conscription during mobilization, said Goncharenko.

 

In particular, women and men whose close relatives (husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother or brother or sister) were killed or missing in action to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression against Ukraine during martial law, are not subject to conscription.
