NATO says risk of clash with Russia over its war against Ukraine

Europe is experiencing the most dangerous situation since World War II. Russia's war against Ukraine is an attack on the current world order, so the Russian aggressor cannot be allowed to win.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this.

"In this conflict (Russia's war against Ukraine - ed.) NATO has two tasks: to support Ukraine and to prevent the conflict from spreading into a full-scale war between NATO and Russia," Stoltenberg said.

As he noted, it is in the Alliance's interest that Russian President Vladimir Putin not succeed in his ambitions in Ukraine.

"A world where the lesson for Putin is that he gets what he wants by using military force is a more dangerous world for us. If Russia wins this war, there will be confirmation that violence works and its next target could be Ukraine's other neighbors," Stoltenberg stressed.

We shall remind you that former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen noted earlier in a media interview that there was a risk of war between the Alliance and the Russian Federation.
