Bulgaria sent 4,200 tons of weapons to Ukraine - the shipments were smuggled through Poland

Acting Bulgarian Economy Minister Alexander Mikhailov said on Thursday that the country has transferred 4,200 tons of weapons to the latter since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by Nova.bg.

 

"In the first four months from the beginning of the war - until June 30, permits were signed by (former Economy Minister Kornelia) Ninova for the export of Bulgarian weapons worth one billion 16 million euros. During this four-month period, 4,200 tons of Bulgarian weapons were delivered to the Polish airport near the border with Ukraine," Mikhailov told a news conference.

 

He added that he had documents to prove his words, but did not show them.
