Two more ships with grain left Ukrainian ports

On Monday morning, August 8, two more ships with food left Ukrainian ports.

This was reported by the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey in Twitter.

According to the Ministry, the vessel SACURA departed from Yuzhny port, carrying 11,000 tons of soybeans to Italy.

Along with that, the vessel ARIZONA, carrying 48,458 tons of corn to Iskenderun, Turkey, departed from Chernomorsk port.

The Turkish Defense Ministry added that the four ships that departed yesterday and continue their voyage to Istanbul will arrive in Turkey tonight and will be inspected tomorrow.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine confirmed the departure of two ships with food, specifying that the bulk carrier ARIZONA went to the Netherlands.

"Today the largest Ukrainian port - Yuzhny" is fully involved in the implementation of the Initiative. Thus, all ports of Big Odesa are involved in the export of agricultural products. Our goal is to increase transshipment in the ports. In two weeks we plan to reach the volume of transshipment of 3-5 ships a day", - said Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov.

As a reminder, on Saturday it became known that three dry-cargo ships with Ukrainian grain departed from the ports of Odesa in the morning. This is the first such caravan in the grain deal. The final destination of each vessel is separate - Turkey, Great Britain and Ireland.

Later it became known that four grain caravans are expected to leave the three Ukrainian ports on Sunday, August 7.

We would like to add that the export of Ukrainian grain takes place in accordance with the "grain agreement" concluded between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations. The coordination center in Istanbul is in charge of controlling the operation of the sea corridor and security of the operation.
