Zelensky and Putin meeting: the Kremlin responded to Erdogan's proposal

The Kremlin said that there are no grounds for a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by the speaker of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, writes UP.

In response to a question about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's proposals to mediate in the peace talks, Peskov told reporters that Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky can meet only after negotiators from both sides "do their homework."

"The Ukrainian delegation of negotiators, as they say, has gone off the radar, there is no negotiation process right now," he added.

Peskov stressed that so far the necessary prerequisites for a meeting at the highest level between Russia and Ukraine do not exist. At the same time, he noted that Erdogan's role in organizing several rounds of talks was significant.
