Air Force and Air Defense Forces exercise with live firing begins in Belarus

In Belarus, exercises with the Air Force and Air Defense Forces with live firing were announced for the period from August 9 to 25. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.

 

"In accordance with the plan of training of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces for the academic year 2021/2022, operational and tactical training with the air force and air defense troops with live shooting will be held from August 9 to 25, 2022 under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces," reads the statement.

 

It is noted that the training is carried out on the territory of Belarus and the 185th center of combat training and combat application of the air and space forces of the Russian Federation.

 

It is also reported that combat training activities will be held in two stages: from August 9 to 11 in the areas of training on the territory of the Republic of Belarus; from August 22 to 25 within the territory and airspace of the Ashuluk training range.

 

"Redeployment to the Ashuluk training range is carried out by rail and air echelons. Personnel and weapons, military and special equipment from aviation military units, air defense troops and radio technical troops, as well as combat crews of the training institution are involved in the training," the statement reads.

 

The Belarusian Defense Ministry claims that the purpose of the training is to improve the coherence of formations and military units in carrying out their assigned tasks.
