The deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Timoshenko had a conversation with the Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine Päivi Line, the parties agreed on the participation of Finland in the reconstruction of the Chernihiv region.

"Separately presented a plan for the construction of housing for resettlers. It was developed together with several well-known architectural bureaus and the relevant documentation has already been prepared. It is envisaged to build five-storey apartment houses within 5-6 months in 16 regions of Ukraine - 2 thousand apartments in each region. Their cost with all the furniture and equipment will be about 700-800 dollars per square meter," Tymoshenko wrote in his Telegram-channel.

He noted that after the deoccupation of the territories and the restoration of the housing stock, people will be able to return to their homes, and these apartments will be given to the military, medics, police officers.

"Finland sincerely wants to help the Chernihiv region, both the government and private companies are working on this. We are ready to provide our partners with all the necessary information on the objects that need to be restored. First of all these are houses, schools, hospitals and public utilities," he added.

Now Chernihiv region needs fast restoration of more than 4479 residential objects: 1,029 high-rise buildings and 3,231 private homes.
