Dzhankoy is a key hub for Russian operations on the east of Ukraine - British Intelligence

After the recent explosions in the occupied Crimea, the Russian military command is, as soon as possible, concerned about the obvious deterioration of security in the peninsula.

This is stated in the annual report of the British intelligence.

"The cause of these incidents and the scale of the losses are still unclear, but the Russian commanders will probably become increasingly concerned about the obvious deterioration of security in the Crimea, which functions as a teal area for occupation," reads the report.

It is noted that on September 16, a munitions depot near Dzhankoy on the Crimean peninsula exploded, and the neighboring railway and power station were probably damaged as well.

Later it was reported that from the Guardian district from the aviabase in the center of the Crimea the smoke was going down.

"Dzhankoy and Gvardiyske are the boudoir for two of the most important Russian military airfields in Crimea. Dzhankoy is also a key motor and railway hub, which plays an important role in supporting Russian operations on the east of Ukraine," the report says.
