The occupation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP by Russian troops poses a serious threat - NATO Secretary General

The occupation of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant by Russian troops poses a serious threat. Provocations at the plant threaten not only Ukraine but also other countries. NATO Secretary General Hennes Stoltenberg said during a briefing with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Stoltenberg said that an attack on nuclear facilities poses a serious threat to security.

"They increase the risk of nuclear incidents and endanger the population of Ukraine and neighboring countries, as well as the international community," he said.

At the same time, the Secretary General noted that NATO maintains its neutrality in the war launched by Russia. According to him, the alliance will support political dialogue under the aegis of the EU.

We would like to remind you that the UN said it was ready to support the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
