Zelenskiy promised a strong response in case of Russian attacks on Independence Day

There is a threat of rocket fire on public holidays - the Day of the National Flag and Independence Day of Ukraine. In case of city attacks, Ukraine will make a strong response.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy during a joint briefing with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.

According to him, Russia's priorities will focus on infrastructure facilities or state institutions.

"Russia may increase the number of shelling on August 23-24. All this information that is available. What will Ukraine do if it hits Kyiv? The same as now. Because for me, as for the president, and as for every Ukrainian, Kyiv , Chernigiv, Donbas, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya - it's all the same, our Ukrainians live there everywhere. And the answer will be the same as in these cities: they will beat us, they will receive a powerful answer," Zelenskiy said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy warned Ukrainians that this week the occupiers may resort to particularly brutal attacks and provocations.
