Covid in Ukraine is on the rise: in a week already 9 thousand cases, hospitalizations increased by a third

In Ukraine, during the week from August 15 to 21, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by more than 67%, compared to the figure a week earlier - up to 9,113. This is evidenced by the data of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

 

 According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a total of 5,044,941 cases of covid have been recorded in Ukraine.

 

 Of them, 9,113 cases were recorded during the reporting week, while a week earlier - 5,439. So, a 67.5% increase was recorded for the week.

 

 At the same time, during the week from August 15 to 21, 2,806 vaccinated persons fell ill with covid in Ukraine, against 1,782 a week earlier (+57.5%).

 

 The most cases per week were recorded in Kyiv (956), Chernivtsi (879), Ternopil (788), Zakarpattya (752), and Sumy (677) regions.
