On Monday, SE "NAEK Energoatom" unloaded and disconnected from the network the last power unit No. 6 of Zaporizhzhya NPP, which provided the plant's own needs, the company reported on the Telegram channel.
"Today, September 5, 2022, as a result of a fire caused by shelling, the 330 kV power line of ZATES – Ferrosplavna, i.e. the last line that connected the ZNPP/ZATES node to the energy system of Ukraine, was disconnected! As a result, the network was unloaded and disconnected. power unit No. 6, which now has its own needs of the ZNPP," the NAEC informed.
As noted in "Energoatom", for the last three days, the Russian occupying forces have continued intensive shelling of the territory around the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
As a result, the 750 kV ZAEP – Dniprovska, 330 kV ZATES – Kakhovska and 330 kV ZAEP – Melitopol transmission lines were damaged and disconnected. The 750/330 kV substation of the ZNPP was also damaged. Other lines of the ZAEP/ZATES node were damaged even earlier.
The penultimate power unit No. 5 at the ZNPP was shut down on September 3.
