Counteroffensive in the Kherson region and the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Liman: battle maps

The Ukrainian counteroffensive continues successfully. The Armed Forces of the Kherson Region are trying to advance in three directions, and are also carrying out attacks to approach Lyman in Donbas.

This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

 Kharkiv region (Vovchansk-Kupyansk-Izyum-Lyman line)

According to the maps, Ukrainian troops continue to consolidate their gains in the eastern part of the Kharkiv region and are likely to carry out ground attacks in the north of the Donetsk region.

Analysts suggest that Ukrainian forces are likely trying to take advantage of recent gains in Sviatohirsk (south of the Kharkiv-Donetsk border, 20 km northwest of Slovyansk) to advance east.

It is not excluded that battles are also being fought near Bilogorivka. Ukrainian defenders are consolidating their gains in the region, hoping to increase the pressure on the occupiers in the Luhansk region, in particular, in the Lysychansk-Siverodonetsk region.

 Donbas

As noted in ISW, the Donetsk region remains one of the main concentrations of Russian forces.

Yesterday, the enemy made limited ground attacks in the area and may have made minor gains in the Bakhmut area, conducting positional battles along the T0513 route.

In addition, analysts noted that statements by Russian sources that their army allegedly managed to reach the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut need confirmation.

South

Ukrainian fighters continue the counteroffensive operation in the Kherson region.

Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out ground attacks in three main directions along the Kherson-Mykolaiv front line: the north of the Kherson region to the south of the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region; the west of the Kherson region along the Ingulets; and northwest of the city of Kherson.

Ukrainian troops are probably strengthening their positions in Olhyno (5 km south of the Dnipropetrovsk-Kherson Oblast border) and are preparing for attacks along the Arkhangelsk Line in the direction of Novopetrivka (5 km south of Olhyno).

Analysts assume that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are succeeding in the Davydova Brod area and in their attempts to rebuild in the Sukhoi Stavka area. Such maneuvers can be used for further advancement to Bruskynskyi in the Kherson region.

Meanwhile, the Russians tried to advance along the line Ternovi Pody-Lyubomuvannya, which is about 30 kilometers from Kherson. There are no such official confirmations yet.

Instead, Ukrainian forces continue an operational-level blocking campaign against Russian military, logistical and transport assets in southern Ukraine to support ground maneuvers along the Kherson-Mykolaiv front line.
