President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy came to the de-occupied Izyum, where he took part in the ceremony of raising the flag of Ukraine.

This is reported on the Facebook page of the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade.

"Today, the flag of Ukraine was raised in Izyum, which was liberated by Ukrainian paratroopers. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military units took part in the ceremony," the message reads.

The President of Ukraine thanked the soldiers for the liberated Ukrainian lands.

We will remind you that during the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian military already liberated about 8,000 square kilometers of our territory from the Russian occupiers. Stabilization measures are still ongoing in half of them.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces have already de-occupied more than 300 settlements.

However, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar noted that the real number of liberated territories in the Kharkiv region is almost twice as large.
