Spain sent ammunition for large-caliber artillery to Ukraine

Spain sent the fifth transport plane with ammunition for large-caliber artillery systems to Ukraine. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

 

 "The Ministry of Defense of Spain officially announced that "on September 9, 2022, a T-23 aircraft of the Spanish Air Force took off from the Torrejon de Ardos air base (Madrid) and is transporting large-caliber field artillery ammunition to Ukraine. This is already the fifth flight with weapons transferred to Ukraine by Spain in recent days," the message reads.

 

 Last week, four flights departed from the base in Rota (Cádiz).

 

 In total, the cargo that was transported these days is 75 pallets of large-caliber ammunition.

 

 Also, in response to the request of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Spain sent a truck with medical supplies and another twenty vehicles with equipment.

 

 "All these supplies are an example of the determined and constant support of the Ukrainian people by Spain for a long time," - said the head of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, Margarita Robles, during a meeting in Prague with her European colleagues.
