The EU sees the first steps in implementing the recommendations given to Kyiv along with the candidate status

The European Commission noticed Ukraine's first steps towards implementing the seven recommendations it received along with the status of a candidate for EU accession.

Katarina Maternova, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate for Neighborhood Affairs and Negotiations on the Expansion of the EC, said this.

She noted that this list of tasks is not a list of reforms for the candidate status - Ukraine is already a candidate, and the 7 points mean that Ukraine was given this status with the understanding that Kyiv will take these steps on its own.
