There is a need, but there are no prerequisites - Putin once again spoke about negotiations with Ukraine

The Kremlin once again spoke about the negotiation process between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Moscow believes that there is a need for negotiations, but there are no prerequisites.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmytro Peskov made a corresponding statement, RIA Novosti reports.

"The negotiation process is, of course, in demand. And it is in demand to achieve our goals. But we do not see any prerequisites for the negotiation process," said Peskov.

The Kremlin speaker again accused Ukraine of stalling the negotiation process and stated that Kyiv wants to resolve the conflict on the battlefield.

"Several months ago, the Ukrainian side left the negotiation process, and several months ago, the Ukrainian side at various levels - from high to higher - declared that they were going to solve their problems on the battlefield," Peskov added.

It will be recalled that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, stated that the Russian "referendums" in the occupied territories will close the Russian Federation's possibility of negotiations both with Ukraine and with the civilized world.

Russia has also announced that after the "referendums" there may not be peace talks with Ukraine.
