At the meeting, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was instructed by the energy department to be ready for various scenarios of winter in war conditions and maximum saving of energy resources. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov on Twitter on Thursday, October 6.

 "Meeting with the President regarding the operation of the energy complex in war conditions. The task: prompt liquidation of the consequences of emergencies, provision of consumer needs, a program (including information) of maximum energy saving, readiness for various scenarios of the autumn-winter period," Danilov said.

 The Ministry of Energy explained what they do in case of a blackout due to enemy shelling.

 The issue became acute after Russia's attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure in September. Power plants were targeted, resulting in massive power outages in several areas. In particular, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kharkiv TPP-5.
