The G7 leaders promise to continue to help Ukraine, including with weapons

The leaders of the G7 countries on Tuesday again declared their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine, supplying it with weapons and providing humanitarian aid.

"We assured President Zelenskiy that we are unwaveringly and resolutely committed to providing Ukraine with the necessary support so that it can defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity," the G7 heads of state and government said in a statement following the virtual meeting.

The document emphasizes that these countries are ready to provide Kyiv with "financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal assistance, as well as to support Ukraine as much as necessary."

"We will continue to coordinate efforts to meet Ukraine's urgent needs in military equipment and means of defense," the statement said.

In addition, the leaders of the G7 countries emphasized that they will help Ukraine in preparing for the winter period.

The G7, among other things, again condemned the recent strikes on Ukrainian territory. The leaders of these countries also called on Belarus not to provide support to the Russian military.

In addition, the "seven" welcomed the investigation into the incidents of gas leaks from the pipelines "Northern Stream" and "Northern Stream-2".
