A number of ambassadors and Western officials are posting greetings to the Ukrainian military on Defender of Ukraine Day on their social networks.
This is reported by "European Truth".
"Now, on Defender of Ukraine Day, I thank all the brave Ukrainian men and women who defend our values - freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law. I know that you will not back down. And neither will we," said President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
"Day after day, Ukraine fights for Europe - and for each of us. The future of Ukraine is in NATO, and the future of NATO is with Ukraine," the Estonian Foreign Ministry wrote in its greetings.
"This year, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine has a special symbolic meaning. Since February 24, almost every citizen of your country has in one way or another become a defender of their land, life, and future. The United States will support Ukraine as long as it is needed. Glory to Ukraine!" - says US Ambassador Bridget Brink in her address. She recorded the video in front of the St. Michael's Monastery, near the memorial wall with portraits of the first victims of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces also posted a video greeting. "Not an hour goes by without us thinking about you and your struggle to protect Ukraine's independence... I want you to know how impressed we are by you," he says.
"Your determination, strength and courage are an inspiration to everyone. Thank you for standing firm in the defense of freedom!" - the Embassy of Latvia writes in its greetings.
"Honor and dignity, extraordinary devotion and unsurpassed heroism - all this is in the Ukrainian soul! I congratulate you, Defenders of Ukraine! The whole world welcomes you!" - German ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen wrote a congratulatory message to Ukraine.
