COVID is on the decline: new cases decreased by 3% in a week

In Ukraine, during the week from October 24 to 30, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 fell by 3.1%, against the figure a week earlier - slightly more than 16 thousand. This is evidenced by the data of the Public Health Center and the Ministry of Health.

 

 According to the Ministry of Health, for the period from October 24 to October 30 in Ukraine:

 

 16,378 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded (of which 1,641 were children, 273 were medical workers);

 

 hospitalized - 3,900 people,

 

 fatalities - 179,

 

 recovered - 29,413 people.

 

 99,204 persons were vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

 During the reporting week, 8.8% of all vaccinations were first doses, 8.6% were second doses, 68.7% were first booster doses, and 13.9% were second booster doses.

 

 For the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine:

 

 fell ill - 5,312,632 people,

 

 recovered - 5,155,465 people,

 

 fatal consequences – 110,186,

 

 32,707,848 tests were conducted (by PCR and express methods).

 

 The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine has been declining for several weeks, but the fatality rate is quite high.
