After retreating from Kherson, Russia made the Azov port city of Henichesk the "temporary capital" of the occupied region and is likely to relocate military command posts.

 This is stated in the daily report of British intelligence.

 "The choice of this area as a command hub hints at the priorities and concerns of the Russian command, which is strengthening its defenses in southern Ukraine," the report says.

 It is emphasized that Henichesk is well positioned to coordinate actions against potential threats both from Kherson in the west and through Melitopol in the northeast, as well as to receive reinforcements from Crimea.

 "First of all, it is outside the range of Ukrainian artillery systems, which have caused significant damage to Russian field command posts," the report says.
